Classic Pizza

How to Make

Ingredients
3/4 cup
Birch Benders Classic Recipe Pancake Mix
1 1/2 cups
Bread Flour
1/4 ounces
Active Dry Yeast
1 tsp
Olive Oil
3/4 cup
Warm Water
16 ounces
Pizza Sauce
2 cups
Cheese
Toppings of Your Choice
Directions

 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Dissolve 1 packet active dry yeast in 3/4 cup warm water.
  3. Let sit, then add flour.
  4. Knead in olive oil, and knead an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Cover with damp towel  and place in a warm area. Let rise for an hour.
  6. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface (or cornmeal dusted surface).
  7. Separate into 4 pieces, then roll out as thin as possible.
  8. Top with pizza sauce, thinly sliced fresh cheese (we used mozzarella), Italian spices and any other toppings you like!
  9. Cook for 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

We recommend waiting a few moments for the cheese to cool before slicing – this will keep the good stuff from getting away!
