Ingredients
- 1 cup
- Birch Benders Classic Recipe Pancake and Waffle Mix
- 2/3 cup
- Water
- 2 tbsps
- Bourbon
- 2 tsps
- Cinnamon
- 1 tsp
- Ground Cloves
- 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil plus more for greasing iron
- 1/4 cup
- Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup
- Light Corn Syrup
- 1/4 cup
- Molassas
- 1/4 cup
- Bourbon
- 3 tbsp
- Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup
- Halved, Shelled Pecans
Directions
- Heat waffle iron to desired settings.
- In a heavy-bottomed sauce pan, combine all ingredients for sauce, save pecans, over low heat. Stir occasionally, until just simmering.
- In a dry pan, toast pecans until slightly darker in color and evenly toasted.
- Add nuts to sauce.
- Combine waffle ingredients in a medium bowl, until smooth.
- Cook waffles according to your waffle maker’s directions. Remove and serve topped with pecan sauce.
